About Computer Centre
The Computer Centre of the National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh was established in the year 2015 with the objective of providing computational environment for the academic and research community of the Institute.
There are three computer labs, CL-1, CL-2 and CL-3, which are equipped with 70 desktops, 40 desktops, and 60 desktops, respectively. All the desktops of the labs are provided internet services with LAN cables while the classrooms and the hostels are offered internet through Wi-Fi of various bandwidths. These labs operate from Monday to Saturday between 9 AM and 11 PM. Three more labs, CL-4, CL-5, and High Performance Computing (HPC) are likely to join the Computer Center from the academic year 2019-2020.
In addition, a number of Linux based servers caters to the institute IT services like Mail, Web, Moodle and Library purpose. Availability of the servers and resources is ensured with power back up provided by UPS grid. The Computer Center also manages the security cameras that are placed throughout the institute including both academic and hostel buildings.
