Being at NIT-Andhra Pradesh means having the freedom to pursue extracurricular activities that will help you develop your personality as well as your academic interests. The best aspect of NIT-Andhra Pradesh is that it accepts students from all over India, representing many states, cultures, languages, and other nations. Since NIT-Andhra Pradesh is a residential campus and nearly all of the students live in hostels, they have the opportunity to get to know one another on a deeper level. Everyone develops appreciation for each person's unique lifestyle. There are several opportunities for students to improve their leadership skills through all of the departmental technical associations and the student chapters of professional societies. The Praayatnam, Swar Sudha, Literary and Debate, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Cell, Shreshta, AI and Robotics, Graphics Cafe, Nature and Value Education, Magazine, Task Force, Physical Education, Shilpi (Model Making Lobby), Brindavanam (Horticultural Designs), Chitram (Short films and Movies), and E-Yantra (Drones and Robotics) are a few extracurricular activities give student ample opportunity for skill development and management qualities. Students of the campus are governed by Student Code of Conduct, and Disciplinary Code and by Rules and Regulations for Hostel Residents. The hospital located on the NIT-Andhra Pradesh campus offers basic medical services to all of the school's students.
